Anual, Native, decumbent or sub erect, high, straggling herb.
Commonly found in dry lands from Türkiye to NW India.
Stem:angular, striated,scaberulous, Leaves: sessile, cuneate/attenuate at base, elliptic-oblong or oblanceolate, surface pubescent dotted white adaxially, scabrid abaxially, margins spinous, toothed or minutely pinnatified, lobes mucronate, entire, often crisped.
Flowers: Capitula, solitary, terminal, purplish corolla, campanulate, fruits: cypsels blackish-brown.
Flowering and fruiting- almost throughout the year.
