Description

Anogeissus pendula is an important tree species in the Hilly regions of Rajasthan. That is a multipurpose tree species with various ethno-ecological importance. This species is recognized as the climax species of Aravalli hills and grows up to 9–15mt in height, seed germination capacity (germination is less than 2 percent) and seedling growth is very slow.
 
Its wood is very tough, it has a lot of mechanical strength, and is regarded as the 3rd toughest timber in the world.
