    Plant Habit: Aerva javanica is a perennial herb that develops in upright clusters. Height ranges from 0.5 to 1 meter. The upper section of the stem and branches is devoid of leaves, with leaves often being ± falcate-recurved, either sessile or possessing a short and indistinct petiole. the upper spikes consequently creating terminal panicles.
