Tufted, erect or geniculately ascending annual grass, upto 60 cm high. Leaves flat, glabrescent, acuminate; ligule of a few hairs. Spikes many, upto 7.5 cm long. Spikelets many flowered, each 4.5-7.5 mm long, shining, greenish brown. Gulmes unequal, finely acuminate or aristulate.
